Bro, Clottey beating Cotto isn't that much of an upset, Clottey has always been a serious threat to any welterweight out there. The fact that Miguel Cotto even gave Joshua Clottey a shot is a feather in Cotto's cap. In any event it will be the best welterweight fight we have seen in years, I can't wait. I agree with you, Clottey has been ducked by every major Welterweight out there, including Paul Williams, and if Cotto does win, it will end any speculation as to the damage done by the Margarito loss. Clottey most certainly has the ability to beat Cotto, and as upsets go, it he does, it wouldn't be that much of a shocker. Cotto might be a slight favorite, but only by a very small margin, this one is going to be an instant classic.

It would be a big mistake for anyone to underestimate Joshua Clottey. He is a very tough fighter and I will not be surprised if he beats Cotto.

When Clottey fought Margarito, I was very impressed. He lost a decision after fighting most of the rounds with a broken hand. I remember his left hooks bouncing off Margo's chin. I don't see him doing anything different against Cotto. Cotto is a better defensive fighter than Margo, but he will still have a real fight on his hands.

To me, this fight is pick 'em. The 3 to 1 odds favoring Cotto are betting odds and most people bet the fighter they want to win rather than the fighter they really believe will win. Cotto has a big following in New York, but Clottey is accustomed to fighting in hostile territory.

Joshua Clottey is a very underrated fighter I think he has the chance of making it a completive fight. The thing with Clottey is when he was matched with the elite level fighters he didn't quite make it past the finish line. His two biggest wins were over completely shot fighters in Diego Corrales, and Zab Judah. I always hear people say Clottey is avoided then I ask the question who did he ever beat too place him in a situation were he could face guys like Mayweather or Mosley he's beat some tough contenders but no world beaters.

Clottey does a good Job of covering up his body and i think if he can take away the body attack for Cotto it makes Cotto a little more vulnerable. If Clottey can tap his chin and get inside it could make for an interesting fight.

Cotto on the other had showed in the Margarito fight that he has the ability too box I thought he Out-Boxed him for the majority of the fight until he was caught. the thing with guys like Clottey who use that Cover up type of defense fighters that can move and Box give them problems because they aren't around waiting when you pull your hand down.

I think Cotto Boxes his way too a split decision.

While I dont think he has been avoided, He is an A level fighter, and very deserving of this fight. And you are right about his losses, He was well on his way to beating Margarito before he broke both hands one round apart. He is a very sound technical fighter, and has good pop in both hands. I think he uses his jab to keep Cotto on the outside, and I dont think it will be a shock if he beats him, He's just as a good a fighter.
