Oh my God! That is terrible news and so sad my friend. First it was Arguello, then Gatti, and now Forrest. It's like a dark cloud hanging over boxing at this time. Vernon Forrest was an outstanding fighter and a fan favorite too. R.I.P. Vernon Forrest.
Who ever killed him, I hope they meet their just reward. Carjackers are the scum of the earth.

Im 38...so I think it's nuts. We aren't suppose to be dying now. He was avery good champion and I will always remember him fro shocking the boxing world with his mastery of the then undefeated Sugar Shane Mosley, then doing it again to prove it was no fluke. RIP Viper.

Another black day over the boxing community, it is so deeply saddening to me and so many other fans of the sport to have so many great fighters die so close together. Vernon was a good man and an excellent fighter and he is in a better place now. I am praying for his fmily in these hard times.
R.I.P. Vernon, thanks for the memories.

It's been a sad year for boxing, first Arguello's murder, then Gatti's murder, now Forrest's. They say death comes in threes, hopefully the boxing community has suffered enough. God be with all three, they will be missed. RIP.

I knew Vernon well from his training at the USOEC in Marquette Michigan. Great guy, wonderful work with kids.

Don't let Vernon die in vain. Be nicer to people starting today. Do it now before it's not to late.
