Why is This Fight on PPV May 9th?
Hello everybody I have not been on this forum in awhile to talk about my favorite sport. One which I am a fighter in. Good to see everyone again. Anyway I have a very WTF question. Why is this fight I seen on the ESPN's boxing schedule being put together and shown on PPV???
Both fighters are as shot out of a cannon as can be! Hector Camacho Sr. vs Yory Boy Campas. I have nothing else to say can anyone else PLEASE!!!

Wow!! You are right! I imagine this is PPV just simply because they can't generate money for the fight any other way. HBO and Showtime probably laughed at the idea and wanted nothing to do with it. ESPN and Versus wouldn't want to air anyone of that age on tv incase there was serious damage done but sure enough there are boxing fans from the old days that still want to see their heros. Thomas Hearns still boxes as well. I guess it is like the "seniors" tour in golf.
I would be curious enough to see how the Macho Man looks in the ring but not enough to pay anything. Yory Boy I know has fought 4 times last year -- more active than some boxers in their prime. He is still in shape although he has been losing to all the "name" fighters he has fought in the last 3 years. Camacho I was not aware was still active but it does not surprise me, Roberto Duran had once said if he hadn't been in his car accident he would have still been fighting in his 50's.
Anyhow I just recently came back to yahoo answers as well...maybe we can get the old group to revive the section again lol Welcome Back!!!

Welcome back bro, this is the fist I heard of Hector Camacho Sr. continuing his career, it's close to ridiculous that old timers like Hector and Hearns can't seem to let it go, I blame Evander Holyfield, he is setting a bad example for the rest of the "pushing 50 crowd" in boxing. Eventually boxing will suffer another tragedy, there can be no hope of any positive outcome from this foolishness. The Vampires saw a chance for some extra pocket $$ and they are willing to allow old men to damage themselves for the few bucks such a joke will generate. 20 years ago Camacho was one of boxing's elite, but the turn of the century has been anything but kind to Hector Sr. I guess he figures he can grab some quick cash, because he can't be serious about a boxing comeback given his age and the past decade. I cannot with a clear conscience pay for such a scam, it's just too much.

Because the networks or horrible bloodsucking animals and know that lots of ppl want to see Camacho even though he is an old man. An they know that they can make the fight PPV and still a bunch of ppl will pay for it. The price will prole be cheaper like $30 instead of the average $56.

Hey and welcome back! This would almost seem to be a misprint or something as both of those guys are way past their prime. All I can say is that I wouldn't want to see them without paying for it much less paying to watch it. They must think we're stupid or something to pay for a fight between two shot fighters,
