How do I get my son to turn around?

I've had 2 3d ultrasounds so far (in Korea they do an ultrasound every time you visit the OB) and both times my son has been facing my back so we haven't been able to get a clear picture of him.

My husband and I would really like to get at least one good pic of the little guy before I have him (I'm 29 weeks pregnant).

Any ideas on how we get him to face outward?

Update:

I walk every day. My husband swears that the little guy is camera shy like both of his parents.

Update 2:

There's no problem with him moving... he bops me the whole time the doctor is looking at him... he just likes to get me in the back.

That's the other reason I'd like for him to turn around... my back is killing me!

I'm glad he's healthy and safe and comfortable... but boy I'd really like to see him! I see all the other 3d pics and they're soo adorable!

Babies move so much, but it's so hard to get them to move on command during an ultrasound. Honestly, there's not much you can do other than hope. Not what you wanted to hear, huh? :)

Some sonographers are better than others at maneuvering their transducers to get the images they want. The next time you're there, you can ask them to gently push on your belly in hopes that he'll get the idea and rotate some.

For you to try anything now is pretty futile. He'll probably move again by the time you get to the doctor's office. If it's any consolation, 29 weeks is still early enough for the babies to be more bony looking. Wait a few more weeks when he starts to get some more tissue on his cheeks, and you'll have an even cuter 3D pic!

    Congrats!!

Well, I know a little about your background but I am unsure if your husband is Korean. If he is, it is really simple.

Just hold a dica up to your belly and tell the kid to say 'kimchi'. He will turn to the camera and flash the peace sign. That is when you have the Doc do the ultrasound.

    Hope this helped.

Try "rocking" your pelvis. Move side to side or when I was preggo our clas instructor told us to put up one leg on a chair and do a kind of side ways lunge if the baby was breach. Maybe that will work. I don't know though. Just make sure not to overwork yourself and even if you get a 3d picture it will be soon and he will be here!

  • I hope he stops being shy and flips around for you. Doesn't the pinging noise make him move around? Maybe next time when he has less room to stop wiggling away.

    Take a walk daily.

I would leave the baby alone and let things happen as they are meant to. You will see him when he is born! Good luck!

He'll move when he's ready. Leave him alone. Maybe next time.
