What do you use the GB for in the Playstation 3?

They have 2 systems for sale a 40gb and an 80gb. Is that just for storing games?

80 G is gigabytes for memory. The 80G and up you can play the ps2 games on....the 40g you can't. Might want to think about that.

You store game saves, demos, trailers, and full games from the PS Store, as well as various media (music, movies, pictures) on your hard drive. The hard drive can be upgraded at any time with a compatible SATA laptop drive.

There is also another important difference between the 2 models. The 80gb WILL play PS2 games, while the 40gb will NOT. They both play PS1 games.
