Top 5 PG's in the league?

1.) Chris Paul - most underrated player in the game

2.) Tony Parker - underrated also, CHAMPIONSHIPS

3.) Chauncey Billups - again he has a ring

4.) Steve Nash - stat filler but thats abt it

5.) Deron Williams - one of the best all around

I know many would have Nash up there but he has had one of the most talented teams in the land for awhile and has produced nothing out of it except for his own personal stats. Chris Paul has yet to get earn anything yet but as far as leading his team he is the best. He doesnt have alot of talent around him yet his team is 20-10 and competing with alot of the great ones. He is just amazing to watch and his skills are ridiculous. Parker has the stats and the rings to back himself up as well as Chauncey, and Deron is on his way to the top also esp. with more success in the playoffs....anyone?

Update:

You ask who were these players before Nash, who was Nash before these players? He had a great team in Dallas but did hardly anything w/ them. Dallas actually got BETTER w/o Nash. Nash is a system PG, he is made by the system and the great players around him.

Tony Parker is amazing. Most of his shots are layups (like Nash) b/c he can get to the rim almost at will. He takes a backseat to the team thats why his statistics arent better, he has to share stats with the other players around him. You say "well Parker has great players around him blah blah" yeah and he has got it done. They have championships, Nash doesnt and never will b/c its a system. Its not talent, although Nash is good he is NOT MVP material.

Kidd, man i love watching the guy play and he is a stat filler but his teams suck. I just havent ever seen him "help" his team that much.

1.) Steve Nash (just watch a suns game and see the team when he's on the bench)

2.) Chris Paul (he is carrying the hornets on his back)

3.) Tony Parker (impossible to defend 1on1)

4.) Chauncey Billups ( always there when his team is in need)

5.) Jason Kidd (his shooting is terrible but still the best at setting up his teammates along with Nash)

Tony Parker is the most overrated player in the NBA, you talk about Steve Nash having a lot of talent well look at Parkers team, if it wasn't for Tim Duncan and Ginobili, Parker wouldn't have any rings or all-star appearances or Eva Longoria. Steve Nash makes his teammates better. I agree that Chris Paul is the best, he is my favorite pg to watch. Heres my rankings:

    1. Chris Paul - Best pg in the league at making his teammates better

    2. Steve Nash - Best passer in the league

    3. Chauncey Billups - Got the rings and the stats and he is the leader of his team.

    4. Deron Williams - Great playmaker, will have at least 2 or 3 rings before his career is over.

    5. Andre Miller - He has the Sixers competing and he is just a great leader. I know cuz I watch him every game.

    1. steve nash - i know he has a really good team, but he also shoots a very good % from the line and from the floor. he is a great passer and the suns really need him, because without him, the suns are just an average team.

    2. CP3 - very underrated, getting 10 assist per night, pretty good scorer at that. gets a ton of steals.

    3. baron davis - cant believe not a single person even listed him. sure he doesnt have a great shooting game, but he makes timely shots and carries the warriors. there are times when baron just makes the most unbelieable shots and finishes, things nash, paul, williams, parker could never do.

    4. deron williams - mini baron davis, good scorer, good passer. bright future for him

    5. jason kidd - may not be the scorer he once was, but he is a walking triple double waiting to happen. unbelievable rebounder for a PG, great defender, gets steals, gets a ton of assists. future hall of famer.

IMO tony parker is so overrated. almost all his shots are layups, he cant hit a 3 to save his life or really shoot consistently from long range. he doesnt get that many assists and he isnt a great defender. he should be thankful that he is really fast because without his quickness he really isnt anythig special.

championships are a team accomplishments, i dont take that into account when i rate players. robert horry has 6 rings, but it doesnt make him better than jordan does it?

putting tony parker as the #2 pg in the league is retarted. he doesnt make any impressive passes at all and his team like nash's is extremely talented. nash is #1 cuz he does make amazing passes. watch a game of his. he really earns his stats. plus nash makes other players better. raja bell, eddie house, borris diaw, who were these guys before nash?

    1. Steve Nash- 2 time mvp, 5 time all star

    2. Jason Kidd- Why is he not in your top 5????

    3. Chris Paul

    4. Allen Iverson

    5. Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams

    1. Steve Nash - near perfect court vision

    2. Jason Kidd - everything you could ask for in a PG AND MORE (pts, rbs, asts)

    3. Chris Paul - I'd put paul over DWill as NOH have a better record and Paul is putting up better numbers across the board

    4. Deron Williams - above

    5. Tony Parker - Great speed, penetration, Finals MVP, Ring for the spurs this season as well?

1)Steve Nash - a PG mentality should be past first

2)Gilbert Arenas - a great all around player

3)Chris Paul - passes good shoots good but in my opinion not better than gilbert.

4)Baron Davis - Its baron, cmon everybody likes baron and hes pretty good.

5)Deron Williams - like him alot but hes can still get better.

Tony Parker is overrated he drives to the rim because hes fast yea thats true but also because he cant shoot, Yea Nash drives as well but he also can shoot and he always knows how and when to pass it to his teamate as Tony Parker averages 7 assits he doesnt pass enough to be a good PG.
