Ghosts are said to be a manifestation of a dead person, some believe it be be the spirit or soul of the dead and others believe it to be the personality. People all over the world think differently when it comes to what ghost really are and if they really exist or are just part of the imagination. One of the earliest recorded sightings of a ghost happened in Athens Greece between 63-113CE when Pliny the Younger wrote a letter to Athenodoros Cananites who was a philosopher, about his sightings of a ghost. Ghost stories have continued throughout the years and many places are said to be haunted by ghosts.

I love ghosts. Ghosts (appritions, anyway) have no harm towards you. They're extremely hard to catch on film or tape. i have not seen a ghost of my own, because my studies as a parapsychologist are focused on Poltergeists, Dybbuk, Bot and other small 'mischievous spirits'.

Sometimes, it depends on where you live if you will see ghosts a lot. 47% of Iceland's population has communicated (through voice, touch, smell, sight) with a ghost, when only 6% of Hong Kong's population has. The chances of actually seeing this ghost is very slim, but good luck trying!

I have had several encounters. One was at a hotel in Vancouver, Canada in July 2006. We were at a sci fi convention and many weird things were happening to people in one area of the hotel: a maid's vacuum caught on fire, one lady was thrown across her bed--in front of 3 friends, lights were doing weird stuff, the fire alarm went off, etc. The last day of the conference, at the closing party, I had taken a few photos with a digital camera and when we went up to the room to download them to the laptop, I noticed an aura around and across the guest of honor's head. We enlarged the area and there were 2 faces superimposed over his face. 2 not so nice faces. We made copies and took them back downstairs to the party.

I have not seen the darn thing but it held me down in bed like an elephant, I found out the next day that in the room I was in a woman rolled over and smothered her baby while they were sleeping,in a recovery home for women and children,another girl in the house said she was in that room the week before and insisted on being moved because the same thing happened to her.

I tried moving,screaming,couldnt do anything was frozen....yikes I have goosebumps right now.

Well, we moved into this house last year and I was home alone on the porch, reading. I thought I saw a face in the window next to me and went in to look. When I got to my room, Invisible hands pushed me into the closet and I was locked in there!

Yea, I think the spirit is still here, but I think the closet thing was just to warn me that it still lived here. Now I only get occasional cold chills.

yes i have seen a ghost befor and there is a such thing thay are real i was in bed one night and got woke up and seen something that i have never seen befor i saw a ghost and i can not explan it it just was walking out of my room i was so freked out

I have seen things, but I don't know that they were ghosts. I believe energy can become trapped and creates a recording, which we can sometimes see as something 'ghostly'.

YES I have. I don't want to talk about it as the last time I talked about it on yahoo I broke out in a bad sweat and the a/c was on.

Yes i do. I've seen my mom's dead dog she had when she was a kid and my dead dog. Plus a few nights a go i saw a guy in my living room sitting on a chair with a yellow suit on. It scared the crap out of me.

I do believe in them... I've seen plenty.

I think most of the time they are just there but don't have hte power to affect us, although sometimes they do... but rarely.
