Staying in Boston for three days at the end of February?
I will be staying in Boston for three days with my boyfriend and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for things to do during the day.
I know we are going to walk the Freedom Trail, but I was hoping to hear some other suggestions.
Thanks for your help! :-)

Hi!
I would go to the Isabella Stewart Gardiner Museum. The Museum of Science and perhaps the Museum of Fine Arts.
Definitely stop by Cheers, the orginial (not the one in Faneuil Hall but that is fun too). Walk around nearby Beacon Hill and make sure to see Louisburg Square - the wealthiest area of Boston and wear John Kerry lives.
Go skating on the Boston Common.
Have dinner in the North End. (The Italian area). Visit Paul Revere's House.
Also eat at the Union Oyster House which is the oldest restaurant in the U.S.
Take a Duck Boat tour.
Go to the top of the Prudential for an amazing view of the city.
Visit the State house and go inside.
Go to a Celtics or Bruins game.
Any by the way - it will be pretty cold so bring boots, mittens, and a scarf. I've lived here my whole life and never have walked the entire Freedom Trail.

I LOVE Boston and it's great to just walk around and enjoy the city but it's gonna be COLD so I guess some indoor activities are in order.......
The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is popular and it's OK to spend a couple of hours but that's it..... not my favorite museum in the world. The Museum of Fine Arts is highly recommendable.
The Duck Boat tours will be closed at this time of the year. So I hope you enjoy your freedom trail walk, it's gonna take you quite a while. I don't know if they take you all the way to the USS Constitution but it might be a good idea to visit it too if it's open. If you want (and have time) to do some shopping, go to Downtown Crossing, there are several discount shops in there (Filene's Basement the biggest one) where you can spend hours looking for stuff. There are nice things and at very good prices!

Too bad Fenway's not open for any games... =[
But if I were you I'd definitely head up to Salem [only like 5-10 miles north of Boston] and check out the Salem Witch Hunt museums. The Salem Witch Museum looks like a gothic castle and the wax museum is also pretty neat and a bunch of other stuff to do in Salem so I'd spend a day there.
I'd also go to Harvard Square. in Cambridge [5 miles away].
There's so much to do in/near Boston, I'm sure you'll find something. Good luck and I hope you have a great trip! =)

I LOVE Boston. I just did it in February this year. I ALWAYS recommend eating at Fire and Ice. You should call ahead though. If you're going to eat in the North End, you need to get a dessert at Mike's Pastries. Newbury Street is great shopping, but it's kind of expensive. I recommend Filene's Basement for cheap but good stuff, but I like the one near Newbury Street rather than the one at Downtown Crossing. The MFA is always great, along with the Isabella Gardiner museum. The Pru is good shopping too, plus an amazing view. Harvard Square is great, Quincy Market's okay. I really like to just kind of wander around. You find the funkiest places. But you'll be doing a lot of walking and it will most likely be below freezing, so bring lots of WARM CLOTHES.

It's a beautiful city.
Since it's winter ... no swan boat tours or Boston Red Sox games,
For nightlife, go to the Black Rose (Irish) and the Regatta Bar (great jazz).
If you do the freedom trail and Boston tour with photowalks, they know all the best spots to stop and take photos so you get postcard-like shots. If you liked Good Will Hunting or Legally Blonde, tour with Boston Movie Tours.
Go to Ming Tsai's (from the cooking chanel) restuarant Blue Ginger in Wellsley.

I'm from Boston! Go down to Back Bay! Check out the Prudential, or Kitchen Arts (a great kitchen wear store)! Take a ride on those carriages pulled by bicycles, go to Harvard Square and do some shopping! It will be great! Have fun in Boston!

choose for it guy, relies upon on what you do, your approach, recommendations-set, who else you confer with as properly us blokes on R&S, while you're surrounded via regilious icons or skulls, i guess you have gotten some stable non secular adventure, heck, even maybe out of physique. merely be advantageous to return your soul on your physique. he he he while mom nature calls you, be advantageous to respond to her, you know, to deposit those physique fluids and solids that would leave your physique ?
