do japanese kids recieve no hw in their schools?

    Japanese kids (me included) receive homework in their schools. However, the teachers often don't care whether you do it (personal experience) and to really get studying done you need to go to juku (another name for hell) and they'll give you enough homework to blow your head into smithereens.

    There is no middle way.
