Do turkey's lay eggs? All I hear is chickens, ostrichs and geese eggs? What about Turkey's??
Has anyone ever tasted a turkey egg?? What size is it?
Of course I know they do lay eggs - just saying I don't heard much about it and was wondering if they would eat the eggs. And it makes sense why I don't hear about it like someone said - the turkey's are meant to grown & eaten.
Thanks!

All birds lay eggs. The egg size is in correlation to the size of the bird, so turkey eggs would be bigger than chicken's but smaller than ostrich eggs.
I've never eaten turkey eggs, but I have eaten emu eggs which are a little smaller than ostrich and very rich and creamy.

Yes turkeys lay eggs like chickens. I've never had a turkey egg to eat but guess it would be okay.

Turkeys do lay eggs, they are birds.
People don't usually eat them because turkeys are raised to be a meat product. I suppose somewhere they are eaten but they feed so many more people if they are grown.
The egg would be a little bigger than a chicken egg.

It's a matter of economics why you see chicken eggs instead of turkey eggs in stores. Chickens are more efficient egg producers. See the link for more info.

Of course they lay eggs - it is a little puzzling why turkey eggs aren't sold though.

well of course. It follows that being a bird, that's how they would reproduce. I would guess it's a big egg relative to the bird!
