How do I install a new SATA harddrive on my Gateway NX570x Notebook?

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Ok I purchased my PC over a year ago, My harddrive was filling so I went out Ebay and purchased a Brand New 200GB Harddrive. When I got it I pulled out the old and installed the new - rebooted my system. At this point everything went to POT. First I found out my OS CD that came with my notebook does not work. It will not spin up the way other CDs do. I think I got a bad one. I have had my PC for more than a year so I do not have a warrtanty any more. I borrowed my brother in law's CD I planned to use his CD with my COA Code I thought that would still be legal. Second I found out That my SATA drivers were not on his CD because His CD of Windows XP was a retail copy. With his CD my new SATA harddrive is not recognized. Third, My notebook does not have a floppy drive in it I read on the internet I need to boot to the windows CD then install the SATA harddrive drivers from a floppy. I do have 2GB USB memory stick which I have downloaded the SATA HD drivers to it

Update:

I have also created a bootable CD and loaded the drivers on it Can someone please tell me how to installed the SATA drivers from the memory stick or a bootable CD. Using a Windows XP that was purchased retail. The SATA drivers are not on that CD.

Update 2:

sorry the SATA drivers ARE on the bootable CD. My notebook came the Windows XP and my brother-in-laws CD is Windows CD. I am only using his CD but using My COA Code so I think that is legal.
