Honda Shadow Aero 750 is the better buy , If you want dependability buy the Shadow, If you want good riding and stability buy the Honda, If you want a quick little bike that keeps up with a lot of the big boys then Honda Shadow Aero 750 is your best choice

The Honda Shadow 750 Aero/Spirit/Phantom are some of the best bikes you can buy for the money. They have unrelenting dependability. I own three bikes. A 97 CBR11XX Super Blackbird, a 2014 Yamaha FZ-09 and the 2012 Shadow Aero. Of the three bikes I own that is the only one that I can go out and start any time of year and ride and I need to do nothing besides twist the throttle and shift gears. The other bikes are fun and I love them just as much for their own reasons but the one bike I would never part with is that little Shadow it is definitely a favorite.

Both are good, and very similar in looks . I had the C50 and had no problems period. I put 9500 miles in the year and a half i had it. Go to Volusiariders.com ,there are 100`s of C50 riders and Volusia(older version of the same bike) that have put many miles on their bike with NO problems. The C50 is fuel injected, a very nice plus in it`s favor(quick warm ups and will stay running and drivable right away) . Biggest selling bike in 2007 was the C50.Also sit on both if you are a bigger fella than you will notice how much more roomy the C50 feels. While the Arrow is a good bike the C50 has more going for it .

Honda Shadow. It's a very nice bike. I would have bought one myself, but I bought my Dad's VTX 1300 instead.

Really, it depends on what you are going to use the bike for. Have you considered the Yamaha 650 vstar. Worth the time to check it out. If that seems too small of an engine then consider the Kawasaki 900. I hadn't heard any reports about the suzuki Boulevards being lemons. The M50 I would prefer over the Honda Shadow. I boils down to personal preference as both are good bikes.

Honda Shadow 750!
The Suzuki C50 is a lemon
I own the Suzuki M50, ( same engine as the C50 ) and this bike has been a constant problem since I owned it!
backfires, blown ign fuses, blows black smoke from the exhaust, starter switch sticks, battery goes dead, wobbles all over the road above 50mph, poor gas mileage, worn drive shaft splines, and everybody makes fun of it!
