Changing drives is quite easy. Quite a few web sites have instructions. It depends on which Hard Drive you are installing as to which instructions you will need.
Setting up the new drive with all your software & settings is more fun. Before you embark on this, ensure EVERYTHING is backed up.
It may also be worth a small investment in a program like Acronis True Image to make it easier to copy everything on to your new Hard Drive.
You may need a few CDs or DVDs to write everything on to, but if it is worth doing, it IS worth doing RIGHT.

If you are a human being with average intelligence then it is achievable.
1) Buy a new hard drive and check that your BIOS can recognise hard drives that are bigger than 137GB.
2) You can clone your current hard drive using a variety of methods. xxclone is free and can perform this task.
a) Insert your new hard disk as a slave.
b) Put your new hard drive in an external HDD disk caddy.
3) Once you have cloned your old drive, put the new one in as the master.

If you are asking in Ask Yahoo then it would be better for you to take the computer to a geek that actually knows what he is doing and have it done.
Actually it is easy but there is more to it than you might think. Jumper settings have to be right and is it going to be a slave drive or are you replacing the one you have? Geek it.

not really, open your computer case and remove the old drive. Make sure the jumpers on your new drive are set to master. install the new drive and power it back up. Put your OS disk in as you will need to reinstall windows. If it does not recognize the disk you will have to go into BIOS and set your boot order to cd first. After that windows setup will do the work. Just make sure your motherboard can handle the new drive.
