I do, Pluto is not just some other "rock"?
The planet holds its own unique characteristics, aside from any other object in space.

Pluto was only considered a planet because up until recently, we didn't know enough about it or other objects outside of Neptune's orbit. When Eris was discovered, it was considered that there might be many other such objects way out there. It's a little like if someone discovered the first asteroid, say Ceres, and declared it a planet. Then we discover another. And another and another. And finally we know about thousands of them, all in the same belt between Mars and Jupiter. Same thing with Pluto, only farther out.

Isn't it Charon? And why would they do that? Its smaller than Pluto. PLuto has only been designated a planet since 1930. Only one in the 20th century. I think the orb could really care less if its a planet or planetoid!
