Do I need a home theatre system - if so what kind?

I have a smaller television that I want to mount on the wall in my new exercise room. When the treadmill is on the tv isnt loud enough to hear. What is my best option (and cheapest) for making the tv louder? I looked on the back of the tv and ther earent any places to connect speakers, only the place to connect an antena and the red, white and yellow connections for a dvd player. If I purchase a home theatre system will it connect to my tv, or is there another option, something I dont know of?

A home theater will obviously be the best option. Try to find a not too expensive 'set'. You can then connect your DVD player to it and get good sound.

I would not recommend any Bose system to anyone at all. Look at an Onkyo HT-S 3300, it is a 5.1 receiver and a set of speakers. It is more flexible than the home theater in a box. It is available at any Fry's Electronic for under $400. If you have your own speakers then look at an Onkyo or Pioneer receivers. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on receivers and other items that might interest you. Hope this will help you out.
