About my six year son birthday party?

I am having my son birthday party this sunday. He invited 25 friends from his school and one of the kids he play with across from his grandma house. Today is the last day to call to tell me if they are coming the kids. Tomorrow I am going to order the cake. So far 5 of his friends are coming. Then me his little brother my mom and his two cousin his aunt and uncle might. I told them it their choice. They wanted to leave their two children here for those two hours to have sometime alone or they can come with their kids. Should I make sure there some extra cake just incase they didn't call and more kids show up. This my first time having a birthday party he inviting his kids. It was mostly just family..

I don't understand why parents don't RSVP.....it is really annoying!! Our last party I actually started calling some of the mothers because only 1 RSVP'd and it was already 8 days past the RSVP date. Some of them actually sounded annoyed with me! Can you believe that!

I had parties where only a few RSVP'd and only a few showed up.

I also had parties where a few RSVP'd and a bunch more also showed up.

So, I've learned to always order a larger cake to accommodate more, just in case. And same things with the party favors.

    Hope this helps!

Edit.....Wow, why the thumbs downs? Did I offend anyone because I wrote that I started making phone calls?

If possible, call those people who didn't respond. If you can't, try to have extra just in case. But it's really rude to not RSVP. I went to a party where only 6 kids' parents responded so the host only had candy bags for the 6 kids. About 10 other kids showed up and didn't get candy bags and the parents questioned why. The hostess said, "Well, I only made them for the kids I knew were coming. Sorry!" Not sure these ignorant individuals got the hint but I though it was cool.

collar some of the other mums outside the school gates tomorrow and ask them. Sounds like half the invites are still in the classroom to me. Either that or his friends all have incredibly rude parents. I always sent invitations with the phone number on as well as a little tear off bit they could cross out and give us back. Never had a lousy response rate like that.

Why not just make the cake? I always did

    GET EXTRA CAKE!

my little bro had a party and only like 10 called, then on the day of the party like 20 more kids showed up...

Always make sure you have extra cake. Once my kids started school and had to invite everyone in the class I ordered a half sheet cake (I learned real fast a 1/4 sheet doesn't last). Most parents won't RSVP, but they will show up with their kids. Last year at my sons birthday one of the kids from his class showed up and his mom decided to bring their whole family to enjoy the food and games it was about 8 extra people.....they didn't even RSVP. So always make sure you have extra of everything.

    first of all etiquette wise

the parents who received invites should have rsvp'd

    rude of them not to

i would do cupcakes on the side

and a nice small cake for those that are def coming

as for using your son's bday as a daycare that's another story

they are fam and should want to come too

happy bday to your little boy!!!
