Hey Pollsters, Can Mike Huckabee be believed and trusted?
NY Times article quote:
Former Governor Mike Huckabee of Arkansas today professed his support for the striking television writers union just a few hours before he was expected to board a plane for a taping of the Jay Leno show where he will face a vocal picket line of striking writers.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Huckabee said he was unaware that he would be crossing picket lines and believed that the program had reached a special agreement with the union.
Although crossing picket lines might not be unusual for most Republican candidates, Mr. Huckabee has waged an unusual populist campaign on economic issues, stressing his empathy with the anxieties of working people. On Wednesday, he said he identified with the striking television workers as an author himself and believed they deserved a share of the proceeds from the sale of their work.
Does anyone believe his lame excuse?
Is he so desperate that he already reverses his public statements?
I ask again, can he be believed and trusted?

Come on....you can't believe ANY of them. They are all prostitutes to get elected. It's nauseating-ten months to go. Wait while most drop out. I am not paying attention until thirty days before Nov. 8 2008.

I believe that God can do ANYTHING! Even if Huckabee is not elected, God certainly is using him as a faith booster in this country, isn't He? Don't you just love Huckabee's unwillingness to quit even against the odds? That's the way we all should be as Christians! No matter the outcome!

Golly gee, he sounds just like a politician. Frankly, I don't trust any of them; not Huckabee, not Romney and certainly not any of the Democratic candidates. Even McCain, honorable as I think he is, is unreliable.

It is hard to 'hair-split' politicians' statements during a campaign. I want to know more about his record before I decide on him.

You cannot believe any politician or trust them. I would be more concerned with his dumb religious beliefs.
