Sims 2 why won't u like ur new house!?

Question

how come when i build a house with all the best furniture, and let the sims go into it, they start getting frustrated and upset, then the environment bar basically become entirely red. Am i putting too many good furnitures?

i have a lot of windows and lights in my house, also the furniture have high environment rating, so why is it still fully red?

do they need to get use to it first?

Well, the environment bar really doesn't matter much, so it's not like it's going to kill them if it goes down, so you can just ignore that. Maybe you forgot to put in a wall somewhere? Or maybe you have furniture too close together or empty spaces in the middle of the house? I don't know, but you can just ignore that bar. If it's really bothering you, before you go into a house, while you're in neighborhood view,   ' CTRL + Shift + C ' and then type in  boolprop testingcheatsenabled true . Then go into the house and you can drag the sims' bars up and down and do other things too.

It could just be too cluttered. Is there spoiled food or a rotten newspaper around? The Sims could also be too serious for some of the decoration. Serious Sims will not be amused by things like pink flamingos, and won't get any enviroment score from it.

U sure u have adequate lighting, a toilet, the basic necessities. i've built tons of ridiculusly big houses and never saw that problem try a different family, if they are having the same reaction then it's something with the house, e.g. lighting, too cluttered can't reach necessities, or if u used move objects cheat they can't reach necessary objects.
