I can't stand Deion Sanders, but, Man, was he a good ball player. I even hated him he played for the 'Skins ( Dan thought he could buy some wins ) I think he could have handled moss. I think Moss has a pretty good advantage height-wise, but Deion's athleticism would make up for that.

Deion Sanders would own Moss, especially in a playoff game. Moss dissapears in playoffs while Sanders was known as Prime Time. Moss relies on speed to get open, and Sanders (4.18 in the 40-yd dash) in his prime was quicker and faster than Moss. Moss would never beat Sanders with speed and he's never been a route-running threat to think he can beat a savvy Sanders that way. The only possibility would be Moss wearing Sanders down...and Moss is not exactly the most physical WR. Deion is not among the leaders of interceptions because QBs usually ignored the receiver that he was covering. INTs don't really tell how good is a CB, only that he has good ball skills.

I think more times than not, Deion would win the matchup. He matched (at the least) Moss on speed, and his quickness was better. Moss has a size advantage. Michael Irvin had size and for some reason excelled against Deion more often than not, even though he wasn't fast. But Moss doesn't use his size as well as Irvin, other than the jump ball, and Deion has hops and knows how to play that game, as well.

Given the choice with Tom Brady as QB, Randy Moss will slice through Sanders like a knife to butter

Great question. I think it depends who is throwing to him. With a mediocre quarterback Moss can create his own space and plays, but a back like Deion would quickly negate it. However with a good quarterback Deion would have more trouble, even though the ultimate game plan would probably be to throw away from Deion.

Deion could run with him but Randy would catch his passes still one on one . I believe in Randy's rookie year with the Vikings on Thanksgiving day in Dallas Randy caught 3 passes for around 150 yds and 2 t.d.'s. I believe Deion was still on Cowboys at that time.

One is guaranteed: No one could outrun Deion in his prime. I'm not saying that Moss wouldn't catch a couple of deep balls if they continued throwing it to him, but realize that Deion would also intercept a couple of passes too. Deion is one of the top 5 best athlete that has played football, along with someone like Bo Jackson.
