How long did you date your spouse before you became engaged?

4 months and for one of those we weren't even in the same country because I had to go away for my job.

He took me out for a romantic dinner and when we got back he made this long, emotional speech about how he felt about me and then he got down on one knee and asked me :) I said yes, we've been married for 14 years now and have 4 wonderful children.

We dated for 2 months January-Feb. of 1997. He proposed on Valentines Day during a romantic dinner at Outback Steakhouse. We both knew by the 2nd date that we were meant to be together. We were married 2 months later on the beach in Alabama. We have been married 11 years.

dated for 2 engaged for 8 months of the 2 years. Still married over 6 years.

Two years we dated before we became engaged then we married two years after that. My husband proposed to me at a French restaurant. Twenty years later and four children later here we are. But remember communication is the key to all relationships. All the best =)

We dated for about three years, we were totally inseparable. Engaged for about six months, and married for almost eight years now. He proposed to me on one knee at home one night, he said he had the ring for a week before and he couldn't wait any longer. One thing I can say is that we moved a thousand miles away from everyone we knew (as far as family and friends go) We lived out on our own for about four years before we moved back to our life-draining hole of a hometown. I think that brought us much closer together than if we had stayed in this town.

I divorced my ex husband and we were together for about 3 months before he proposed. I was young and foolish btu he seemed sweet... he proposed to me after I came home from a hard day at work. I think it depends on the person/people really.

It took us 8 years tho before we had our first kid, cause we had lots of problems. Things are great now tho. And this year we will be celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary in August.
