Record Bull Shark caught by a 12 yr old?

It sure is some catch; but it won't count as a "record" if what he says in the interview is correct. He says someone else hooked it for him; for it to count no one else is allowed to touch the rod.

Regardless, it's a real accomplishment for the boy and something that I'm sure he'll remember for the rest of his life. I'm sure he struggled with fighting the fish, but it's pretty amazing the difference today's two-speed reels make. Also, since he was on vacation he likely was on a charter boat - if so, it is very likely they had a fighting chair which would also make a huge difference.

Does anyone have more details on the tackle used, boat, etc.?

Wow that's some catch surely he must have help to land that thing, i know most adults would struggle with it.
