Hi people , I am 34 I have been hunting and fishing since I was old enough to walk. I spent the first 12 yrs of my life in FL. Moved to the Mountains of NC for 20 yrs and am now back in FL. I am a Roofing subcontractor and have done all types of home construction I am fairly new to this online thing but its something to do and a place learn from . I need a snapping turtle expert?
I caught a Fl common snapper on accident (Chelydra s. osceola ). Its a very large one for this variety does anyone know the world record size for this subspecies of snapping turtle?

Mine was this 10 ft 1 inch critter . It was a heckuva fight on 200 lb test on an old spinning reel and an 8 ft rod. Thankfully my sweetheart was there to finish him off once I got it reeled in.

I was wondering what types of baits are good for catching redfish besides shrimp and mullet? And what types of sinker rigging do you use? I am fishing off a jetty in the ocean and need atleast one ounce of weight .
I have been using live finger mullet with a one ounce sinker rigged like a carolina rig . Any other suggestions on bait and sinker rig would be helpful
