Doing a project?

That's easy. All you need is a judge's robe (or an old Harry Potter robe), a lace dickie and a wig! She was best known for the elaborate lace collars... you could just stuff a lace doily in the top of your robe. Carry a gavel as a prop.

P.S. The person who wrote she was chief justice is wrong. She was the first woman on the Supreme Court, but never served as its chief that I know of.

Well, look at this pic: http://www.wm.edu/news/images/tpjone/sdoweb.jpg

This is a great example of something she would wear. You could get a wig at a costume store to look like her hair and go to the thrift store and get a blue dress at a cheap price. Get one of those jugde hammer thingys too. lol.

    GOOD LUCK!

I would probably go with some kind of judge robes or something. She was a chief justice, after all. Maybe you could look up what kind of things they wear and base your costume off of that.

I'd recommend black pumps or high heels, loose black dress, white turtleneck underdeath.
