Has anyone used Had-A-Snail and knows how long it needs to be in the tank?

I have a hgue infestation of snails. I bought Had-A-Snail before and used it. It killed the little ones which helped but it says on the bottle to use it and if you want to use it again to do a 50% water change. It kind of makes me wonder if I shouldn't do that anyway even if I don't use it again but how long do I need to wait with it in the water for it to be effective?

I personally dislike medicating the tanks. I would place a piece of zuchini on a clip for the snails, they will relocate onto it to feed, you can then throw them out as they come. Repeat if needed. I would do a 50% water change to remove the medication anyways, even if you do not use it again.

There are also certain fish, that eat snails. YoYo loaches eat snails, however this may take a while with quarantine time and your tank may not be large enough to accommodate any more fish without overstocking.

    Best wishes!

I'm sorry i can't help. but if i was you i would do a water change any way to be on the safe side. then try the had a snail again and see what effect this has. Hope things work out for. And you get rid of the snails for good.
