Browser trouble?

I have a question about my internet browser(s).

Every now and then, I'll be using the internet, and it'll be working just fine, and then the next second, it just quits, and I get the 'Page Can Not Be Displayed' message. I get this on IE or FF at the same time when it stops working.

I know it's not a connection error, because my computer allows me to use my instant messengers, and I can still have conversations with people while this goes on, but my browser won't work. I have a Wireless Internet Connection, by the way.

I've done numerous virus scans, and can't find anything. What I'm wondering is could it be spyware? Or is it something else that's wrong?

Update:

FF = Firefox.

Already got it.

    I think those files are corrupted. Download both of them again. You can download internet explorer without internet. To do this go to add/remove programs. CLick on add/remove windows component then check internet explorer. Then clik ok. After you install it you can upgrade to latest version. Then from internet explorer you can download mozilla firefox again. Hope I helped.
