    democracy was never present in the US, and most politicians and people with power want to keep it that way at all costs, including blowing up parts of the world and inciting the murder of millions of people

    It well could be. Ask us again after this election. If the Republicans are allowed to steal another one, or if Bush just calls it off altogether, then you'll know.
