Fanfic advertisement?

Hey, hey.

I'm writing a Death Note fanfic about Mello x Matt.

And I was wondering how I can get a lot of people to read it other than bothering tons of people asking them to do so. >_>;;

Update:

I have it on quizilla but that's pretty much it.

I can't seem to get anything on fanfiction.net 'cause I fail with that site. @_@;;

Demo.

It really would be great if people can give me a few suggestions as to how I can advertise this well.

    Quizilla is too large to really get an audience. What you'll want to do is join fan-forums specifically for the fandom, or at the very least, anime, containing sections for fanfiction. Or use fanfiction.net (I'm sorry you have problems with it) and read and review a lot of other fics in the same fandom. You can also join and post fics on DeviantArt. Essentially, the best way to get readers is by reading and reviewing in the same fandom, and having writing of the same fandom on the same site or advertised in your signature. Smaller forums are my favorite environment for writing groups, though.

    Of course, the best way to get a lot of people to read it is by writing strongly. I never expect to see good writing on Quizilla, so I ignore all fics posted on there. Your best chances of getting readers is by using a site more oriented towards what you're doing. :D

    Ummm, well, I'm just wondering, is it on Quizilla? Because if so, I'll read it.

    I write fanfics as well so I know your pain. It makes me kinda sad when no one reads it.

    A good thought would be message boards, for Death Note fans. (Once again if it's Quizilla they have the forums and one is specially dedicated to anime.) Or try posting on more than one site, to expose it to more viewers. You could also look up people who have stories on the same subject, and if you message with your comments on their's, they sometimes end up reading yours... Just a few suggestions.

    If I could have the link I would be willing to put a link to it in my story memo. I do that a lot to stories I like. :)

    well I go to fanfiction.net it's great you see your hits and get reviews. As for no one reading it if your on a site specifically for Fanfcis try doing them for things with little fanfics about them like Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter have a slimmer chance of being read than maybe Ice age or Twilight.
