biggest surprise this NFL season?

what really surprised you this season? other than the 16-0 Pats and the 1-15 Dolphins, I'd say the fact that the Browns did much better after getting rid of Charlie Frye. Nobody expected it, since Anderson was a 2nd string.

Update:

yeah, that was another surprise. the browns should've made it to the playoffs. but they played too relaxed at the game vs Cincinnati, which screwed them over

Update 2:

Sean Taylor was another one, man how'd I not remember that one??

Browns did surprisingly well, and may be better next year!

16-0 Pats, not so surprising, but impressive that they played their "starters" to finish out the season. Just giving them their due.

Stunned about 1-15 Dolphins, never would have predicted it.

Houston appears to be on the right track.

Saints disappointed me. I expected better after last seasons effort.

    Not the biggest, but noteworthy

I would say, my top 3 are:

    1. Sean Taylor dying (I was absolutely shocked.)

    2. Pats going 16-0 (Completely unexpected)

    3. Favre having as good of a year as he is (After his last couple of years, he looked like he was finally wearing out, but after this year, he looks like he's back to normal.

I am really surprised with how well Derek Anderson did. He's a local boy and I love him, but I didn't think he'd do this well. I also think he needs to leave cleveland. They all have a chubby for Brady Quinn. Why keep them from what they want.

Im also surprised how soft the rest of the NFC west came out to be. I really thought they would be the strongest.

I was surprised that the media and league jumped all over the Pats* nuts even after they were caught cheating. They set a bad example for the children!

Source(s): Also: The Eagles and the Falcons getting rid of the wrong QB's.

The biggest surprise has to be the way the Titans started the season, this team was the last undefeated team last year and was complete garbage at the beginning of this season....
