I would say in addition to those Queens of the Stone Age, they have similar music to a lot of what you listed and also as a root of that stuff I would have to suggest Motörhead, most of the bands you listed likely wouldn't exist today without Lemmy and crew.

Ok, I'll list a few bands you might want to consider. These are all bands that probably have never shown up on your local commercial radio stations. (You already know about the ones on commercial radio, so I won't bother with them.)
1) Porcupine Tree. A British alt rock group, probably the best group you've never heard of. Good lyrics, interesting music with lots of variety. I personally think that front man Steven Wilson is a musical genius. Do yourself a favor and check them out, especially their In Absentia, Deadwing, and Fear of a Blank Planet albums.
2) Lacuna Coil, an Italian goth metal band. Lead vocalist Cristina Scabbia has a terrific voice. My favorite is their Comalies album. They are often compared to Evanescence, but I think they have a very different sound.
3) Vanden Plas, a German alt rock band. Check out their Iodic Rain video on YouTube.
4) Flyleaf, a Christian band from Texas, but with a broad "secular" fan base, and with music very different from what one would expect from a "Christian" band. (Some would say that they are not so much a Christian band, but a band that happens to be made up of Christians.) Lead singer Lacey Mosley has an interesting life story.
5) Andromeda, a Swedish rock band. Very tight music, and the lead guitarist is phenomenal.
6) Ozric Tentacles. (Yeah, the name is strange.) From Britain, these guys have been around for over twenty years. They are known for their atmospheric, psychedelic sound, combined with rock grooves.
All these groups have web sites, and you can sample the music on YouTube.Com. I don't know if all of them would be to your musical taste, but they are all worth checking out. Best wishes.
