Have you ever built and/or used a "worm shocker"?

My grandpa and I used to build and use worm shockers to shock worms (and other critters) out of the ground to go fishing with. They are extremely simply, cheap, and easy to build. But they are extremely dangerous.

I was wondering if anybody else had ever built or used such a thing? A few years ago they were sold commercially, but I guess since they were considered dangerous, they took them off the market.

There were a lot of law suits against the manufacture, because of the way some stupid people were trying to use them, resulting in them getting shocked.

That, is along the same line of what happened to a company that manufactured airboats.

a guy bought an airboat, then when he went to service the motor, rather than doing the service, from outside of the propeller cage, the fool climbed inside of the cage.

someone in the boat ( it never came out in court, who did it ), started the motor & the guy fell into the prop & got killed.

the lawyer, won his case, telling ignorant jurors, that the manufacture had a responsibility of putting a warning on the cage, as well as making the cage, where a person couldn't get inside of it.

no one wants to take responsability for their own stupidity.

take care & have a great day

The first tip to that it's not real, is the fact that there is an operator on the other line taking your money. Why aren't THEY doing it and making the millions that are claimed??? Why is there customer service people who you know are making like 8 bucks an hour to take your credit card info. Why aren't they working the system?? hmmmm

One of these made out of a hand crank generator with DC electric is not dangerous. The spinal implant I have is just as strong.
