Can I deposit a check made out to me and the credit card company?
The bank made the check out to me and credit card company and is supposed to be used to pay off the credit card but the check amount is for more than I owe on the credit card. Can I just deposit the check in to my bank?

No.
If it is made out to you ____ "and "____ the credit card company, then it needs to be endorsed by you and then sent on to pay off the credit card.
By using the "and" it means that the check is not good unless endorsed by both of you.
If it is made out to you ____ "or" ____ the credit card company, then you can sign it and deposit it.

That check needs to go directly to the credit card company and if you gave them too much, the credit card company will reimburse you.

because it's made out to you AND the credit card company it it was you OR credit card company it would be ok.

u must send the check to credit card company.
deposit it any other way is fraud legal hassels for u.
