do you get offended by "fat girl" jokes?

I think it's sad that people would make fun of others. Usually the one who makes the most fun, is the one who is most hurt when others tease them. They are so afraid someone will find out something about them. So they do the attacting so others won't focus on them.

I don't find cruel jokes funny. Whether the joke is about a person's physical stature, ethnicity, race, or religion its telling is always base. I pity the person telling the joke and hope he or she will find the sense of security and self worth he or she currently lacks. Just living and struggling to get through each day is such a struggle for so many. Why say things that only make life more difficult for someone?

I find it offensive. There is enough oppression of heavy people in the United States. Anorexia is on the rise because no one wants to be made fun of. Young girls are so programmed by the media and commercials and movies to believe that fat is horrifying that they refuse to eat. People who are heavy are made to feel like they are somehow not as important as other people. Fat jokes need to go the way of the N*gger jokes. Both are offensive.

There are many ways people tell things about themselves, in their behavior. This person may believe you are a friend or maybe trying to you demean you. If you know this person well enough and you know how the person operates. If he uses at anytime these kinds of comments to demean you or others then you must consider the source. There are many damaged people who walk among us in this life, they themselves have been demeaned all their lives and they don't know that what they are doing is wrong. You really should look at this person with eyes of compassion because of the pain they are trying to cover with these comments to you and others. If they can deflect some of their pain just for a moment they can feel better about themselves. But on the other hand if they don't have a history of such activity then they maybe just socially awkward. You can tell them that you don't appreciate the humor or tell them, well maybe I should get you some glasses and we can hope for the best. Or tell them to leave you out of the comments.

Seeing anyone fall is funny. So of course the trees laugh.

Not offensive. but then again I am not fat. Just not funny. I also hate fat girl jokes and no one around to hear it jokes

the joke doesnt make sense to me. but no i wouldnt really be offended. its just a joke, but i dont ever say jokes that seperate people like "blonde" jokes or raciest jokes becuase they are never funny.

there are millions of jokes out there, find one thats not offensive

& thats actually funny so people will get it. =]

I'm not a fat girl, I am actually a skinny guy. But, it is offensive even though it doesn't make sense at all.

its not really funny to me - but some other jokes can be offensive! especially if u yourself our a lil on the heavier side - not fat but bigger then u want to be =)
