Ron Paul Supporters?

With the new revelation that Paul has indeed been associated with neo confederates and racist people throughout his career i was wondering how the Paul supporters felt about this. I heard the message he was speaking and the track record he has in congress...although it would sound very nice to potential voters (and it did to many indeed), i came in with the understanding that theres no substance in congressmen since i have been engaged in the political game. senators and governors achieve much more and especially in ron paul's situation ive always felt a questionable motive in his rhetoric.

i wanted to know since i have educated friends who looked favorably upon his message and record and thus supported him, don't the ron paul supporters out there feel betrayed by this man's personal business? im thinking you must because i know those friends of mine are not racist. in my view, ive had the experience and wisdom to get a sense of whos lying and whos not, and paul always seemed fake.

Update:

like nikki said:its a shame many people arent well informed but i could understand why. people have been weary of the big political machines so much so that they will resort to trusting a man whos has a good message and seems real because hes not in the top 3. i guess those who replied misunderstood me for someone who doesnt look between the lines and didnt bother to research.

not only have i done the research, i hold alot of weight working within washington's politics so i know whos who. i also have alot of military experience, which also includes for one example: the ability to be my own lie dectector. i would never listen to the media, but outrageously enough, they are sometimes right.

Paul is not a fake. He has said the same thing ever since he began in politics.

This racist problem is something very insignificant and not part of any of what he has done in congress, or put on his platform.

This information is based solely on certain comments made in the past... most put out of context... and a recent donation of $500 from the leader of the Neo-Nazi movement.

I would say his reasoning on this is clear... he is not a racist, he personally has nothing to do with any racists and there is no proof of such.

The 3 comments are easily explainable, and the 500 was simply a misunderstanding. He doesn't support them... but he has no problem keeping their money to do non racist things with it.

P.S.- There is nothing racist or wrong about confederates... it only means they want a confederacy, it has nothing to do with race. I happen to have confederate leanings, and I am not a racist.

the guy has alot of quite good recommendations. yet mutually, i'd opt for to ascertain those recommendations spread international. in effortless words then would there be a fashion we can all inhabit this little globe peacefully. Ever get a threat, ask him about area exploration. he's 100% for it. yet he also is of the same opinion that we want to grow to be extra conservative(ie wise) in how we use our organic elements the following. after we accomplish this, then the opportunities are infinite for us as mankind. although, like me, he would not imagine authorities interference is the answer. Which it isn't.

Ron is not a rasist!!! This is proposterous. Anyone who is properly informed on him and his true writings, articles and books understands his true stance, which has been one of a positive change for liberty and freedom, for over 20 years, and has not changed ever. He has the most solid voting record. What I dont understand is how people buy into the Main stream thoughts that are spoon fed from the media. Try educating yourselves not through the TV for once.

He has a huge following among myself, and my group of friends, some of whom are very educated, professors, teachers, harvard grads and such!

    Go Ron!!! 2008 :)

You are either misinformed or an idiot. Don Black, the guy who runs stormfront.org made a $500 contribution to Paul's campaign via the internet and all of a sudden Ron Paul is a racist. How about the fact that The Nation of Islam and The New Black Panther party made contributions to Obama's campaign. No!!!! Not a word about that!

11 months of research, and I still actively support Ron Paul. To boot, I'm not white (and I abhor your implications).

If you did more than 11 minutes of research, I would be impressed.

If Duncan Hunter gets ousted which might be the case Ron Paul will be my second choice!

James Kirchick from NBC may have started that rumor but could not have backed it up. Its an obvious smear campaign to hurt him for New Hampshire
