What's better, barback or security?

Barback. More money, and might lead to a bartending job.

Both jobs has pro's and cons. What you should do is look at how well the bartenders are doing. If bartending is something you may be interesting in doing then be the barback. You will learn what you need to know to get your foot in the door to being a bartender. From there money will get increased and who knows who you will be able to network with. Being security, you will probably be able to network semi-well but i would assume you would not make the money a barback or bartender could make.

I would say bar back. There is nothing glamorous about bouncing, starts off ok then just becomes boring. Plus some of the idiots you'll be working with are as bad as some of the idiots you'll be throwing out. At least with the bar back job it's a stepping stone to getting a job behind the bar. The bartenders are more than likely making big money, and if you work the door the money is terrible for the risk you are putting yourself under.

all above are correct,but ,bouncers get lots of pusssy,bottom line.if the place is really ,really popular you can get bribes to allow people in,most bouncers pool all the money and split at end of nite,it can be quite a bit!!!!plus you get to beat up drunk asssholes,that's fun,no???

barack u'll make more money and prolly get drunk and have fun while u work. Security u'll get paid hourly not get tips..but prolly get more girls
