i paper trained my mini schnauzer when i first got her. she was so small and it was january and freezing and i didn't want to take her outside. i used those wee wee pads you get at the pet store and kept them right by the front door, as eventually we would teach her to go outside. as said in some answers, pick up the poop and put in on the paper and leave it there. she will figure it out. be sure to take her to the paper first thing in the morning and right after she eats, and just watch her like a hawk. and be sure to remove any potty odors so she won't go there again. any sniffing around may mean she needs to go. housetraining takes time, some dogs are over a year old and still don't get it. eventually, we moved the poop outside and dumped it in the yard and she figured out right away to go outside. of course i waited till the weather was a little warmer and she was about 6 months old by then. it worked for me, but everyone has their own methods. good luck.

Whenever she does poop on paper, take it and move the paper toward a door, whatever door you want her to go out in until the paper is outside. Another way is to leave a small amount of her poo outside and when you take her out, take her to that spot. They like to poo where they smell other poo.

just like a puppy. get puppy pads and restrict her to a place where she cant do any damage when you can not play with her or watch her. use a gentle no when she goes on the carpet (or get a water spray bottle and spray her and say no) and use the phrase good and potty/pee/poop when she goes outside and give her a treat. she will start to associate potting outside with good things. she is older and somethings are hard to break and may take longer just have some patience.

When she poops, put the poop on the paper and leave it there. After a few times she'll get it. If you catch her pooping in the wrong place, scold her. If you catch her pooping on the paper, praise her and give her a treat. It takes a few times but she'll get it.

if you're not willing to crate her at least during her training period, you may never get the results you want. crating her gives her fewer choices; she learns to let you know when she needs to "go", and you let her out. she may stay out until you can't watch her constantly or will be away. she won't likely "go" in her crate and will be ready when you let her out.

i would think outdoors would be better than a paper, but if you must, that is your choice.

paper training is a waste of time unless you plan never to take her outside. just start taking her out on a schedule. as soon as she wakes in the am, after she eats, before bed at night and every hour or two in between.

well to train a dauchund to not poop in the house on the floor(i know cause ny aunt and uncle has one)when you wake up put papers in your shower and when it poops on the floor put her in your shower for 5 minutes and leave the room come back and say "bad girl" she should get use to it when you put her in the shower. she wont like it so she will poop on the paper

Good luck with housebreaking then. Because crating is the best way.
