Why was OSU in the title game last night?
They did not beat a Top 20 team all year. The only Top 20 team they played beat them (Illinois). Therre out of conference schedule was Yougstown St., Kent St., and Akron. This is absolutely absurd. OSU is not even a Top 5 team. Maybe not even a Top 10. If they played in the SEC they might not have a winning record.
BUSTER - Les Miles is the most CLASSLESS coach in college football. I should have known he was from ohio. What is your excuse for last year's joke of a game ya'll played?
Quit taking credit for someone or something you wish you had.
I hear something.......sounds like OSU fans crying about losing another National Title because they can't compete with the big boys.

Because of the lack of a playoff system they (osu) are helping to prevent...

Do you think that an SEC team could play up north in November or January against the Big Ten? OSU vs. UM the weather was miserable and the game was dictated on the I formation run up the middle. I am so tired of hearing the SEC cry that the Big Ten is weak. In the last 29 bowl match ups between the SEC / Big Ten the record is 15-14 (sec) thats pretty even to me.
Besides Ohio St. was preseaon best 3rd in their conference... this was our rebuilding year. LSU is a great team and I give them credit - OSU made mistakes and LSU won the game (like a good team would). That doesnt dismiss OSU as a good team.
OSU tried to schedule Georgia in a home / home but Georgia didn't want to come to Columbus? Interesting.
This year the SEC was the best conference I will admit that and I will admit that they have owned OSU...
I do agree that a playoff is needed and when OSU doesnt have to wait 50 days to play for the championship it may be a different game for us.
Congrats LSU on a championship!
Go Buckeyes

When ever you question OSU and anything football related about Ohio always keep this in mind.... All roads to the National Championship go through Ohio.
Les Miles: born November 10, 1953 in Elyria, Ohio
Bo Pelini: raised in Youngstown, Ohio played free safety for THE Ohio State University Buckeyes under Earle Bruce and later John Cooper from 1987 to 1990

They just got lucky with the BCS this year.I mean come on now.In a year with 4 different teams at number 1 at some point of the season and where 17 teams in the Top 5 lost,it was just simply luck.We can even say LSU isnt deserving either because of 2 loses. But they got lucky, because the other teams in front just all choked.OSU is good just not good enough.

1) Because there is no true Playoff system.
2) The pollsters LOVE the Big Ten and the HISTORY of OSU.
3) Teams above them lost at the right time which made them move up even when they really didn't deserve it.
All these things are sad, but true. It's why we desperately NEED a PLAYOFF SYSTEM in D-1 College Football TODAY!!

Until we change to a playoff system we will always get these match ups. Remember when Nebraska lost their conference championship and still played for the NC. How about Oklahoma when they lost their conference championship game. Right now their is to much money being made and thats is the problem.

This question has been answered 1000 times. They are who the system picked. The system needs changing... we know. The SEC is a great conference... we know. The Big 10 is down this year... we know. OSU didn't play anybody... we know.

Thats a question we all are trying to figure out... They get in all the time just becasue there is no playoff system and only schools in the big 10 get in . O state sucks and they proved that to us yesterday

My thoughts exactly. I think going forward, strength of schedule will be heavily scrutinized in determining #1 and #2.

They were #1 by defult. If anyone else was ranked #1 their would be just as many questions.
