Ever heard of the rapture ready website?
Rapture Ready dot com. It is a fantastic website to answer any and just about all questions we have about Christianity and The rapture. Yes, we call it that, but NO the word RAPTURE is not physically in the Bible. It means CAUGHT UP. Which we will be.
Anyway, has anyone heard of it or anyone who goes on it regulary? I just started, but my husband is on it daily.
My husband doesn't live in fear. He lives in Christ and he does spend time with his family. We read Rapture Ready because it has news and current events like other websites. Try it sometime.

Yes, I have.
It's a wonderful website, really. Their articles are interesting, informative, and you can make yourself heard too, I think. If I remember correctly, there's a place there where readers can submit their own articles - hopefully I'm not wrong!
Not only that, I like the humor that the site displays, especially with the "Uninspired Quote" section to the left on the home page. There's also a Humor section, which I appreciate as well.
What I find to be the best thing about the site, however, is that the material in it sticks to the Bible. That's the biggest plus.
While I don't go on it like I used to, I still love that website!

Secret Rapture Non Sense: because it is a LIE that has decieved Millions!!! there is NO Scriptural support for a "secret rapture", Jesus' 2nd Coming will be Visible, Audible, Glorious, Literal and FINAL...Acts 1:10,11 / Luke 24:38,39 / Rev. 1:7 / Matthew 24:30 / Matthew 24:27 / Matthew 24:31 / 1 Thess. 4:16,17/Psalm 50:3 / Rev. 6:14 / Matthew 16:27, 25:31 / Rev. 22:11,12...this theory originated in the Dark Ages. Many Bible scholars had noticed there would be serious problems in the Christian church; others refused to acknowledge it. To avoid discussion of the issues, 2 clergymen were assigned to come up with a theory that would divert attention away from the Christian church. A scholar named Alcazar developed a theory that said most of the Bible prophecy had already been fulfilled in the distant past (Theory named "preterism) therefore the Bible couldn't possibly be talking about the Christian church. Cardinal Riberia designed another theory that has come to be known as "futurism" which is similiar to the modern rapture theory. This theory states that most of the Bible prophecy would be fulfilled in a final short burst of history, and therefore the Bible couldn't be talking about the problems in the church of his day. The Theory - which is a complete fabrication devised to accomplish a political purpose almost 5oo yrs. ago - is still with us today. It essentially teaches that the OT prophets couldn't see the Christian church. They were able to see the Cross and the Second Coming, but nothing in between. This effectively eliminated the possibility that the prophets saw problems in the Christian church. Even those who teach this theory today admit it is not found in Scripture. to the answerer who quoted the verses stating one would be taken, one would be left...it is NOT a good thing to be the "taken" dear hearts, not good at all...

Rapture Doctrine
A Stumbling Block for Christians
Before 1830 you can find no mention of the Rapture Doctrine. That alone ought to send up a red flag. In fact, the word "rapture" is not in the Bible. So, where did this false doctrine come from?
In 1830 Margaret MacDonald had an evil revelation on her sick bed, supposedly from God, in which she was shown what would become "The Rapture Of The Church", among other names.
And, from The Incredible Cover-up by Dave Macpherson, Appendix A, you'll read:
"I felt this needed to be revealed, and that there was great darkness and error about it; but suddenly what it was burst upon me with a glorious light." - Margaret MacDonald (Spring of 1830)
MacDonald's revelation would have probably died with her; however, two preachers grabbed it, cleaned it up, and presented it to Christendom. Today, you'll hear many pastors promoting that false doctrine from pulpits.

Actually Carrie, the word "rapture" is in the Bible.
It is found in 1 Thess 4:17, the word which is translated in English Bibles as "caught up", is the word RAPTURE, in the Latin translation of the Bible, called the Vulgate, completed by Saint Jerome in about the year 405 AD.
The word in the Vulgate has a Latin ending on it and is literally "rapturous", and when you transliterate that into English you get, "Rapture".
Many of our theological terms are named after some key word used to describe them in Latin, since Latin was the language used by the church from the 5th until the 15th century.
In the 15th century, it became common for the Bible to be translated into the language of the common man.

... What about the CONFLICT between the pop-theology "rapture" and the Bible??
-- Peter made it very clear that NOTHING would be "left behind."
2Peter 3:7 BY GOD’S WORD THE HEAVENS AND EARTH OF TODAY ARE BEING RESERVED FOR FIRE. They are being kept for the day when God will judge. Then ungodly people will be destroyed.
8 Dear friends, here is one thing you must not forget. With the Lord a day is like a thousand years. And a thousand years are like a day.
9 The Lord is not slow to keep his promise. He is not slow in the way some people understand it. He is patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to be destroyed. Instead, he wants all people to turn away from their sins.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. THE HEAVENS WILL DISAPPEAR WITH A ROAR. FIRE WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING IN THEM. God will judge the earth and everything in it.
11 So EVERYTHING WILL BE DESTROYED. And what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives.
12 Live like that as you look forward to the day of God. It will make the day come more quickly. ON THAT DAY FIRE WILL DESTROY THE HEAVENS. ITS HEAT WILL MELT EVERYTHING IN THEM.

No, but it sounds interesting. I don't understand where people are getting that the "rapture" isn't in the Bible. It is in there, just not the literal word. If you look at Rev 3:10, that is clearly talking about the Rapture. Plus, there is no more mention of the church after Chapter 4, wonder how people can explain that.
I'm going to check out this website, thanks for linking it.
Source(s): I have to throw this in there for one of the commenter. The day of the Lord is not talking about the Rapture, but about God's Wrath. God's promise is to keep His church from the hour of Tribulation - His Wrath! - NemesisLv 71 decade ago
This just illustrates the rubbish some people will put on the internet.
I had a supervisor at university who said the only reason why people publish stuff on the internet is because no reputable journal would touch their work.
This site just shows that he was right.

I just looked at it.
Some of it is wrong. Like, you cannot be saved after the rapture. You won't have a second chance...that's where most people mess up.

First, the rapture is an extrabiblical doctrine. Second, it will never happen.

There are no prophesies whatsoever in the Old Testament about any 2nd coming! Jesus was telling some of the Jews that he was coming back in their own lifetime* (* the Devil got the best of Jesus!), but they all died and he NEVER came back.
Mat 16:28 I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."
But to some other Jews he told them that nobody, but nobody including himself knows when God will send him back to be their King! Caesar God was a God King. God the Son Jesus Christ was the alleged God, too King of the Jews. The day of the 2nd coming to be their King will come as a total surprise even to Jesus!
Mark 13:32 (Jesus said) No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
The Eastern soothsayers came to visit the "Newborn King of the Jews"… The last question that the Jews asked Jesus was about his promised kingdom (Acts 1:6-7). Jesus told them to never mind!
The Jews were never delivered from the Romans, but they were almost exterminated. The Jews wised up and dropped Jesus very quickly. For Christians it may take a little longer. Each people have its own degree of gullibility.
No fault of the Jews. They really wanted to make Jesus their king by force, but Jesus chickened out! Very few Christians want the world to know this fact!
John 6:15 (NIV) Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.
The last time that he came to Jerusalem he made all the Jews to believe that he was going to become their King, but he was teasing them!
John 12:13They* (*big crowds of Jews) took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is the King of Israel!"
But Jesus had no intension to become anybody’s king! He also told Pontius Pilate that his kingdom was not of this world! So much for the "Newborn King of the Jews!" Pilate had to put a sign on top of the cross to remind everybody about the recanted "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews".
