    It is a term used when you have made choices that you can never go back and do over or ask forgiveness for.It was a choice and you made it.Whether it was a good or bad thing.

    When you burn a bridge, can you get back to where you were? no. If you've burned your bridge, you can't go back.

    severing all possible ties to the past. No way to retrace your steps to a certain person.
