Giant babies!!!?

My younger son was born @ 10lbs 5oz. Today @ 17 months (on the dot) he weighs 34lbs & is about 35" tall. He wears size 3T. He hasn't gained any weight since his 12 month check up but has grown several inches.

Sometimes babies get really fat then they stretch out, it is a growth spurt.

Also if you are formula feeding he might just be becoming overweight, if his weight & height are not in line. His pediatrician should be able to give you advice on what is going on.

Yes my son was a big baby too. I am sure you are used to by now people saying when you go out in public boy that baby is heavy or a big one. Yea well so are three forths of the people that are making those comments. I have heard them all. My son weighed 7 pounds and 6ounces. He loved to eat and wanted to do it all the time. When he was 3months old he weighed 15 pounds and 25 inches as well. He is now 16 months and weighs 24 pounds. He has balanced out. IT is called baby fat for a reason. Once your son starts being mobile he will loose the weight. I didn't care what people said. At that young of an age they can't tell you if they are truely hungry or if they are just custome to eating all the time. I know that when I am hungry I eat. Good luck he will be fine.

At my sons 4 month he was 18 pounds 5 ounces and 25 inches! He will be 5 months on the 15th and I bet he is about if not over 20 pounds! he is a big baby too! But was 7 lbs 4 oz when he was born. Just grew real fast!

My son was 6 weeks early, but he weighed 5 lbs 5 oz and 18 1/2 in. It did not take him long to catch up to the normal weight, then he just grew and gained. When he was 6 months old, people thought he was already 1 year old, now he is 18 months and weighs 23 lbs and is 32 in. The doctor said he is doing really good for his age and he is growing like he should be and he is not over weight.

My cousin just had a baby that weighed almost 10 pounds at birth and was almost 23 inches long. He's about a month now and weights 12.5 pounds and is 24 inches long!! She didn't have gestational diabetes, he is just a jumbo baby!!

my son is 4 months today and weighs 20 lbs. dont be worried, it means more to love

My first son was 20 pds at 3.5 months old! He was sooo big, dr. said it was fine that when he started to walk he would thin out and he is six now and soooo thin :)
