My Husband Is Cherokee Indian,but does not know the Language.?
I am planning to surprise him by arranging a Wedding (if Possible )at a reservation this Summer that is opened to the public so they we may be Married there,and I would like to know a few words to insert into our Vows in the appropriate language.Any sources for learning this would be appreciated,or even if anyone knows a few words,would really help me,Thanks.Try to tell me the words phonetically if possible.I am a quick learner.

They speak Cherokee--more properly spelled Tsalagi--is an Iroquoian language with an innovative written syllabary invented by a Cherokee scholar

Go thru the Bureau of Indian Affaris, contact the reservation, and then they will get you into touch with someone who can hekp you with the language situation
