I am a mom of two, a five year old and a six month old. I have had very bad lower back pain. Any advice?
I do not want to go to the dr. to be put on pain medicine but I would like some relief. With my first child, I do not remember this kind of back pain. The pain has just recently started. I am a nursing mom and try to be careful as to what meds I take.

I had the same; actually your kids and my kids are roughly the same age except my baby is 9 months. You should take 600-800 mg. Ibuprofen and lie on the heating pad. Have your hubby or partner rub your lower back if he will. (mine will). I had this same thing and this is what the doc. told me to do. I breast feed too. Ibuprofen is safe. If you are between 115-160 pounds this would be the right dosage for you. Good luck

I would try a chiropractor. A lot of them out there will give you a complementary exam to find out what the problem is. When I first started seeing ours we got a full exam, which included x-rays, along with temperature tests, etc. then we came back in for the results, and then he started charging our insurance. We also got a free half hour massage as part of being a new client. You can see if any in your area will do this, that way, even if you decide not to use them, you can find out what the problem is. I've had severe back pain, as well as my husband, and we found out that if we didn't start doing things right away, it would just get worse when we were older. Studies have shown that even the pressure of a nickle laying on a nerve can cause serious damage to the organ that the nerve connects to. Our doc told us that there have been studies done on people who have died from heart attacks, and the majority of them, if not all, had back problems. This is an all natural way to help with back problems, and you don't need to worry about it messing with your milk supply.

If it's a matter of having weak stomach muscles,do stomach strengthening exercises. Your complaint is very typical for women right after giving birth. If your doctor does not see any injury that's causing the pain, you should consider speaking to a trainer at the gym for workouts that will help you.

Your hips are probably out of line. Try a massage or a chiropractor. It happened to me.

Chiropractor sounds needed. Your back may be out from preg and ins . will cover it. No meds needed there.
