  • COSTCO or PRICE CLUB, which is better?

I want to sign up to get larger quantities of foodstuff and home products at the best prices. I don't know if there's a difference between these two companies. Is there? Is it even worth paying the membership fees?

  • How Does an American Citizen in Jamaica Renew a Passport?

This person went to Jamaica on vacation, had no problem entering JA but now has a problem because the US passport has expired. I thought US citizens could travel between the US and Jamaica without a passport. Can the US embassy in JA help in this emergency? Where is it located?

  • How Do I find The Owner Of A Car By The License Plate?

There's a suspicious car that's been coming to my gate recently. I can see the driver going back and forth, and he stops in front of my house and seems very interested in my home. Since he doesn't actually enter my property, I don't think I have grounds to report it to the police, but I do find the situation very unnerving. I wrote down the license plate. Is there a way for me to trace this person's identity?

  • Would You Still Keep A Laptop if You Get an I-Pad?

Still can't decide if I should get rid of my laptop and buy an I-Pad. I use the laptop only when I travel anyway so I can check E-Mails, browse the web, maybe listen to music, view pics, etc. It's too heavy to travel with so I want the I-Pad instead. Feedback please. Thanks

  • I feel like screaming right now, How do I get back the http:// on my homepage?

I'm having problems with my homepage. When I try to do searches, the URL field in the upper part of my screen is missing the part that is HTTP://. The WWW is grey and cannot be changed. Only the "Yahoo.com" or other internet sites can be changed. Also when I go to any sites, Google, Facebook or online sites, I have to start all over when I'm finished because I can't get back to the sites or my homepage because I'm stuck. Normally I would click on the "X" and get back to Facebook or my articles. Could this be a virus or is it caused by a Microsoft/Yahoo update?

  • Does Wool Shrink after a while?

I've been noticing that my wool (merino wool, cashmere) sweaters seem to shrink. They look shorter and more snug, than before and even the sleeves look as if they have gotten shorter. I know my arms didn't get longer. On the other hand, all my silk and cotton sweaters are just fine. I haven't gained any weight, in fact I lost a few pounds. Is it possible that the wools shrink during the warm months when I tuck them away?

  • Is the I-Pad or Tablet better than a Laptop?

I want to get an I-Pad or Tablet but I don't know which. I use a laptop to access the internet, (E-Mail, read articles, newspapers) type letters & other documents but it's heavy and cumbersome for airplane travel. Is the I-Pad a good alternative? How does it compare with Tablet? I'm no techie, so please explain in simple terms. Thanks.

  • I need names of popular French singers?

I'd like to know two or three modern day French singers who are popular in France right now. I need this for a project I'm working on. If you know of any who are similar to Celine Deon, Whitney Houston or anyone in that vein, I'd appreciate that info. Thanks

  • I'm desperate and frustrated please help me?

I had hay fever so my doctor gave me meds to help the sneezing and congestion. I went to bed and woke up one morning during that week unable to hear from one ear and I had ringing in it. I've gone back to my doc, he sent me to an ENT, did 2 hearing tests weeks apart which showed my hearing is impaired in that one ear and it has to do with the nerves in it.

He gave me Prednisone and an antiviral, which did not help. My ear is still ringing and I still have trouble hearing from it. My doctors still have no answers. How does someone go to bed OK and wake up almost deaf in one ear? If you've had this problem or know of someone who has, please tell me how they handled it. I'm desperate and frustrated.

  • Why Causes Leg Cramps When You Swim?

My son is 20 now. From when he was a toddler, he has suffered from painful leg cramps whenever he swims. He has tried warm up exercises but that doesn't seem to help. On several occasions, he was in so much pain that he could not move and friends had to pull him out of the pool. Is this problem very common, and what can he do to minimize this happening next time? I worry for his safety.

  • Can doctors charge a fee to make an appointment?

I've been going to this doctor for several months for a treatment. I've kept all my appointments and always paid my portion of the bill, my insurance pays most of it. Recently, I called for an appointment and was told that I had to pay a fee just to make the appointment and that I could pay for it on the phone with a credit card. I refused. I was pleased with this doctor before but now I am so offended that I cannot bring myself to ever go to him again. Has anyone out there ever heard of this policy of paying for a medical appointment before?

  • Why is my dog licking her private part as if it hurts?

I know that dogs lick themselves sometimes, but over the past few days my dog has been licking her private part so frequently that I wonder if there's a problem. Right now, it looks red and irritated and sometimes she whines as if she's uncomfortable. She allows me to apply a warm compress to soothe the area and she seems fine afterwards.

    (1) She's 3 years old and she was spayed long ago.

    (2) Other than walking her, or letting her run in the backyard (supervised) she's basically an indoor dog (Labrador Retriever.)

Is this all normal behavior or does it sound like reason to take her to the vet? Thanks.

  • What type of weights to use to give my arms definition?

I was using 5 pound weights to tone my arms but It didn't seem to help. I went up to 10 pound weights and still no improvement after 3 months. ( I'm a woman, if that matters.) Should I be using more weight, more repetitions, or is there something else that would work better?

  • Does a Brain Injury Cause A Personality Change in People?

I have a relative who suffered a brain injury a few years ago and was in a coma for weeks. When he came out of the coma, he could not recall anything from his childhood, and basically forgot most of his previous life and had to go through extensive therapy.

THE PROBLEM: Now that he has recovered, he remembers every little thing that ever happened in his life, no matter how trivial. As a result, he becomes very angry at a lot of people, past arguments with siblings, teachers who disciplined him, our parents chastising him when he was a child, etc. He gets emotional sometimes and he now curses a lot. Other times, he's the family comedian, but he blurts out whatever happens to come to his mind, no matter how embarrassing. Do you know of brain injury survivors who behave like this?

  • What causes deafening High Frequency Noises in my house?

This morning, while watching TV, My ears began to ring and became blocked. They hurt terribly and I could hear a high frequency sound, similar but worse than the sound they make when doing those emergency broadcast tests on TV. It lasted probably for about 30 seconds. Another person in the house experienced the same problem. Even though my husband, who usually has trouble hearing certain high pitched sounds, also heard this. What could have caused this high frequency sound in my house?
