My Ipod keeps switching its self on by itself, even if it is on hold once I've got it to switch off?

Any ideas what could be wrong. I had it in my pocket on the school run this morning, and I did get soaked, including most of the bits in my pocket, do you think the rain could have done something to it?

Try plugging it into your PC and when itunes registers it click on the "Restore" button which will restore the factory settings and de-bug it.

It sounds like it is a problem with the computer overheating. It is not always the fans. Another problem could be dust building up beatween something callde the heatsink and the processor, however don't try and clean this as unless you know what you are doing you can really really damage your computer. Take the cover off and give it a blow inside and clean any dust of but be very careful. Then try and run the computer with the side off and see how long you can run it for. I don't think it will be the power supply as computer manufacturors put a power supply in their computers which are more than capable of handling the required load. If you need any help then don't hesitate to drop me a line!! EDIT: Venereal - DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PROCESSOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES LIKE THE USER BELOW (VENEREAL) SAID UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND YOU ARE FULLY EARTHED/GROUNDED AT ALL TIMES AND HAVE ALL THE CORRECT ANTISTATIC EQUIPMENT!!!!!!! Apart from it being very hot - when cooling is all clean they still hit around 40 degrees centigrade, you can give them an electric shock due to all the static electricity that has built up in your body. THIS WILL TOAST THE PROCESSOR AND YOU WILL NEED A NEW ONE!!!! This is why system builders wear grounding/earthing straps to stop them electricuting their system. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!

The is a possibility... have you reset your Ipod lately? I don't remember which button it is... you either hold down the middle and top buttons for 10 seconds or the middle and bottom button for 10 seconds. Try that and see if it helps.

You could try the ilounge, it has a lot of helpful tips.

Restore to factory settings through iTunes. Nothing would have happened. Don't worry.
