Ugh...gotta love disrespectful young teens that go behind their parents' back. Even though I am sure they support you (financially, emotionally, etc etc) and try to look out for you. Of course, let's go behind their back and get something you know they disapprove of! Sheesh.
And yes, it would be noticeable. Do you really think that when your mom is talking to you she isn't going to see something going through your lip?

Depends on your skin.
If it's a clear ball, it'll be noticeable.
But you know how labret jewelry has a flatback? They have clear ones that are flat on the front and back.
But you'd have to wear a lot of make up all the time. It's not worth it, really.
Plus the makeup would get caught in the piercing and irritate it, possibly cause infections... that sorta thing.
I would just wait if I were you. But then again I'm not.
So really, it's up to you.

You can't put a retainer in there until it's healed anyway...just hold out, no matter how long it takes. She'll come around. I wanted to get mine done when I was 14 and it took until I was 17 for my mom to say yes. She figured since I'd wanted it for so long that I was serious about it. She still doesn't like it though(I've had it 3 1/2 years).

well it would b better 2 have the metal 1 first until u can change it. the clear ones r called retainers and yes they r still noticable they r clear not invisible. so since they r clear and will b notciable against ur skin yea she would probably b able 2 c it. hope i helped and good luck

yuu can get a clear retainer and those are no where near as noticable
but yuu have the chance of infection if yuu dont let it fully heal unless yuu get a glass retainer then id give it about 5 hours after yuu peirce it and yuu can put that in
itll be noticable but not as much
dont tell your mom your gonna do it anymore let her think your done with it so she doesnt check for it and whatnot
then yuu should be sett [:

You'd have to use a glass retainer to pierce it with. DONT use plastic.
And your mum will notice, its still going to be noticeable (like ok for school/jobs) but just not as much.
Also if youre young nowhere will even DO it without parental consent -you have to be 18
