Jet Ski Rental on Waikiki Beach?

Question

I'm looking for a company that rents out jet skis on or near Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. Anyone have any recommendations? All that I've found so far are the jet ski tours and they take 3+ hours, only 30 minutes of which is actually spent on the water. I wanta company that I can actually rent the jet ski on the beach and take it out by the hour. Is there anybody around there that does that?

Funny that you should ask.  I just went to Hawaii the first of December.  I wanted to jet ski on our vacation too.  

Nope,  there are no jet skis on Waikiki.  I think it is because of all the people.  Waikiki is a pretty crowded beach.  Once you see it you will understand why they don't allow it.

Jet skis are a lot of fun and they are totally worth the rental. I would suggest maybe going to another beach. Waikiki beach is always crowded and it may be a long wait to get a rental. http://www.rebelsportsrentals.com/frisco-ski-rentals/

Most of the upscale hotels in Waikiki have help-desks in their lobbys,they will be more than happy to hook you up with a company that rents jet-skis. I know the Outrigger Waikiki has The Pleasant Hawaiian desk on the second floor.Ask someone there. But I have never seen anyone jet-skiing anywhere even close to the beach at Waikiki, it would be way  to dangerous with all the swimmers and surfers,you will have to go to one of the out-lying  areas that are less congested.Hope this helps!!!ENJOY!!!

Rent a surf board instead the area is way too crowded to jet ski it will not even be fun.
