I ONLY buy music from independent artists on C.D. Baby...

    www.cdbaby.com

I will never buy music from any other place, and it is only because the commercial music you generally find at stores is made for broad public consumption and the tail has wagged the dog far too long on that deal. That's about the music and who is making and selling it. There are exceptions, but maybe only about two or three, like Jason Isbell's "Sirens of the Ditch", Wayne Perkins' "Mendo Hotel", Lou Marini and Ray Reach, "Lou's Blues"...they are not all R&B but they are all good as it gets.

I sell them, but personally would not give you a penny for an MP3 file

A lot of my friends have music to sell on CD Baby, me too for that matter. Just look at my top 40 friends on myspace...

www.myspace.com/bigrfishdoc to get an idea who has some good sounds.

Oddly, the very best and most talented of my musician friends do not have any product to sell there or anywhere...they make their living gigging, producing records, playing recording sessions, that sort of thing, and sell very little recorded product.

btw, I do not consider hip-hop to be R&B...they are two different genres. I am 59 and a white male if that makes any difference either or also??
