What runway at Boston Logan would be used if the winds were blowing ENE and NE?

If the winds are blowing from the East-North-East, which runway(s) would arriving and departing aircraft use, and from where would the best place to view them be?

Also depends on wind speed and direction, if it is a very light wind out of the ENE-NE, they may not change the runway direction due to the time to reconfig the a/p for the runway change. Large commerical aircraft can actually land in a tailwind usually up to 10 knotts, so if the wind is light, the aircraft may land in a tailwind or a crosswind to keep the airport from becoming over crowded while they reroute all the aircraft to change a runway, and have all the a/c taxi all over the a/p to change the runway.

Rwy 4 Right, and Runway 9.

Off 4 Right planes fly over Revere's low area.

Boston isn't the best airport for watching ground operations.

Most likely landing 4L & R and departing 9. But an easy way to tell is by using the Logan airport monitor here's a link:

This will show you what runways will be in operation, in general. If you don't know, for example: RWY 36 would be for North winds, 9 for East winds, 18 for South winds, 27 for West winds.

So runway 4 L/R would be used for your example, probably, but they can vary.
