How long should uploading videos on Youtube take usually?
I'm a bit confused...Its taking forever. Oh and I have a mac if that matters.

it all depends on how long and how large the file is...
but on average it takes 1-5 minutes per MG (megabyte)
then it takes a further time to process and then it will be available.
it can take up to 6 hours to get a channel icon from your video and up to 48 hours until your video returns in the searches,but will be viewable from your channel as soon as it has finished processing

Well for me i watch chinese dramas and every week they take 2 days to upload. Sometimes people dont upload at all. What are you waiting for to upload??
