Where can I practice, or race, my DR 650 that is set up for SuperMotard
I live near San Diego, so any venues from here to Barkersfield or Santa Barbara.

I can't speak for California, as I race on the east coast, but get online and do a search for go-kart tracks. More specifically "shifter-kart" tracks. They usuallly let you get your super-moto bikes out there. Also, look for some clubs online, this will be the best way to get involved in your new, unique hobby. Have fun!!!

Absolutely,
You can go up to Gorman. The place is called Hungry Valley.
Or where I would go is out to Taft, CA.
There is lots of great riding up there and a professional track.
There are lots of great rider including McGrath from Taft.
Also the Los Padres national forrest has great legal fireroads.
Maps are available from rangers' stations up there.
