I feel the media is being biased towards Obama. Why aren't they embracing Clinton? She has the experience.
Does this all boil down to gender? Black men got the right to vote over 50 years before women. Are women going to have to come in 3rd place again?

I like her politics, and trust her experience. I would feel more comfortable with her leadership than Obama's. Frankly, he seems to be able to inspire people, but yet if you listen closely to what he says, he isn't saying much of anything. That worries me somewhat...I mean, anyone can talk of "change" and "hope," but I want a president who is able to put words into actions...the right actions..how do we know what he's really going to do if he's in office? At least with Hillary, we know what to expect.

I'm not too crazy about her but I think this country is more than ready for a female president. Other countries have already had them so why can't ours?
Edit: to the poster who talked about how people can get a job and get healthcare, I'd like to point out that many companies don't offer such benefits, especially if the employees work part-time or they are small businesses. Some of the crappier employees such as a major discount department store chain, has been accused of deliberately keeping its employees' work hours at 39 hours so they don't have to offer benefits. Yes, there are free clinics but they are not widely available, especially in small towns and rural areas. As for emergency rooms, that's a bad idea. Not only do the uninsured clog up these places but they greatly increase the amount of time people have to wait to see a doctor. Not only that, but the hospitals pass along the costs to those who are already insured. That's why people with insurance keep having to pay higher premiums and get less coverage as a result. What we have right now is a complete mess and anything else, no matter what it is, would be an improvement.

I really don't see the media showing bias towards Obama...or Hillary and I'm a new junkie. I don't think "it all boils down to gender." The media is giving them both plenty of opportunities to sell themselves to the American public. If Obama wins over Hillary it will be because he ran a better campaign.
I really hate questions like this that seem to be pitting blacks against women. Both are minority groups who have been under represented in decision making jobs in the government. Does it really matter which one breaks in to the exclusive, white men's club Oval Office first? It doesn't to me, so long as someone does either this time or the next election.

The difference in Obama and Clinton's level of experience is only a few years. She was First Lady not the president. Experience isn't transferrable to spouses and family members.
If you think that the media is biased against Clinton in favor of Obama let me remind you that on more than one occasion the media has "accidentally" shown his picture with Osama written underneath it, has made a huge to do about alleged ties to Muslims (and after 9/11 that, of course, means that he has terrorist ties by extention right?), and all manner of other ridiculous rumors that are flying around re Obama. Let me remind you that the woman who is now bashing Obama stood on a stage just three years ago claiming that he was the great black hope of the Democratic party. Let me remind you that Clinton is running on an anti-war platform but, oh yeah, she voted FOR the war.
Voting for someone just because they are a woman or just because they are black or just because they are whatever is just as bad as not voting for someone for those reasons. I won't be voting for either one of them but really, there are so many reasons not to like Clinton that any sexism that may be afoot is completely irrelevant.

How about you ask where the third place guy, Edwards, is. He isnt black and he isnt a woman, and with all due respect I think that Hillary and Obama are getting big press over other democrats because their campaigns are a feel good story.

Personally I don't think it's because she is a woman. I just don't think she will do a good job. I don't like any of the candidates; none of them are worthy. She is only in it for one thing, like the rest of them. You all need a leader not someone leading based on gender. In all honesty you all need something better than what you have been given.

Honestly, they both get equal air time with the media because the world (Not just America) wants to know who our next president will be. And it seems to me that both Hillary and Obama are neck and neck. But I'm going to have to agree with most of the guys on this one, I think Obama is going to take this one. You really don't even hear anything about the other candidates but these two. And after listing to Obama, I think he's the one to go with. NOT JUST BECAUSE HE'S BLACK! I think because he's the one that will turn this mess that Bush has made around.

Darling it all depends on what news channel you watch. My family calls CNN "Certainly Not News" because they just seem to put a lot of opinion into their news as well as a lot of other liberal news stations do. And I think your paranoid, Hillary stands a good chance of winning but what about her do you like? The fact that she is a woman? Is that really someone you want to run the U.S, just any woman. I agree (I am a guy btw) that it would be great to have a woman as president but not just any woman. And Hillary is just crazy. Maybe you should watch more of the campaign things on different channels. Gender won't keep Hillary from running, if anything people like you will vote because she is a woman and just the same there are lots of ignorant people that will vote Obama just because he is black. Don't vote for any physical traits! It doesn't do anything for our country, you don't have to be a genius to see that! Come one people, use your head!

No, it's not a gender thing or a race thing. It's a Clinton thing. That name seems to inspire a Pavlovian reaction in a lot of "journalists."

Oh give it a rest. If they were focusing more on Clinton than Obama, people like you would throw the race card. Clinton may be a woman, but she's also a pompous, self-serving opportunist. She claims she's the only credible candidate, now she realizes she has to actually try to get the nomination. It boils down to that Obama has shown her up.
